Book ConsultationWhere these benchmarks come from
We start with 2026 blended averages for each platform, then adjust for your industry. Cost metrics (cost per click and cost per lead) scale with how competitive your industry is, expensive-click fields like legal and insurance run well above average, while auto, fitness, and ecommerce run below.
Each metric is scored in its "good" direction (higher is better for ROAS, CTR, and conversion rate; lower is better for cost per click and cost per lead) and compared to that adjusted average. Your overall grade blends all five.
These are directional benchmarks to show roughly where you stand, not exact figures for every account. Your real performance depends on your offer, creative, and landing pages. Want a real audit of your account? Book Consultation.
What is a good ROAS in 2026?
It depends on the platform and your margins, but a rough rule of thumb is a 4x return (400%) on Google Search and around 2.5x to 3x on Meta. Ecommerce and low-cost service businesses can push higher; expensive-click industries like legal and insurance often run lower. This tool compares your ROAS to the average for your specific industry and platform.
Why compare Google and Meta separately?
They behave very differently. Google Search catches people already looking to buy, so click-through and conversion rates run higher and clicks cost more. Meta interrupts people while they scroll, so clicks are cheaper but conversion takes more nurturing. Benchmarking one against the other's averages would be misleading.
My numbers are below average. What now?
Below-average metrics usually trace back to targeting, creative, offer, or landing-page conversion. The fix depends on which metric is off: a weak CTR points to creative and targeting, a high cost per lead points to conversion. Book Consultation and we'll pinpoint exactly where your budget is leaking and how to turn it around.
